i love angeles national forest which has some world-class climbs but has even less support than the santa monica mtns. gmr/grr to mt. baldy
village is 20 miles, climbing up the 39 to dawson saddle is 24 miles and riding the 2 up to newcomb's ranch thurs-sun is no picnic.
