$72 for just the rear light.
I have a clip on rear battery light I got off Amazon during their cyber-whatever holiday sales event 2 years ago. It cost $9 or $10. I have used it(actually on) for over 500 ride miles. Its gone thru 1 battery, so I am on my 2nd battery.
So far its cost me about $11.50 in total. Its plenty bright to be seen from behind and has slits on the side for side visibility which is just as important as direct rear visibility.
That magnic light is some cool tech, but dang thats not cheap.
That is a price for two, but I see no option to purchase just one, so that's averaging out to $36 each. I'd like to see what the longevity of these units will be. Unlike the battery powered units, of course we're looking at a mechanical device, thus moving parts that will wear over time. If they do the job and last for 8+ years, then it would be worth considering.
