I have two Silca's of different length for different frame sizes. I do not have a problem with mounting on the TT as the spring is compressed about 1/3 of the total spring displacement limit. It does rattle upon occasion though. One is Campy head and the other is Silca. They both work and are still serviceable.

Now that I think of it, I also have a Zefel but have not used it.
