Doesn't make a damn bit of difference what color you're wearing. Unless the driver is actively aware of you, they'll never see what color you're wearing-- pattern recognition has rendered you invisible.

Color matters even less at night. A pitch black jacket with reflective strips will be as visible as any other color. Reflective strips on your pedals/shoes/ankles even better. A red blinky on your helmet even more so.
