Color matters even less at night. A pitch black jacket with reflective strips will be as visible as any other color. Reflective strips on your pedals/shoes/ankles even better. A red blinky on your helmet even more so.
This is one of the major reasons that I wear cycling specific clothing to ride especially at night. Most of my stuff is in fact black, but at night, it all has reflective bits. Gloves to jacket to shoes to shorts to jersey. The manufacturers put that stuff there for us, knowing that it shows at night. Some people swear up and down by discount shorts from places like Target and what not. No thanks. No reflective bits on normal clothing.
