Several years ago I remember a bike like yours being discussed somewhere???

Did you repaint the frame? What kind of tubing?

Some closeup shots of the seat lug cluster, head tube and fork, dropouts plus drive side components would be nice.

While Bertin made a few bikes to their catalog specs most wholesale quantity purchases where made to order. That's why you will see so many variations.

We imported Andre Bertin bikes into the US from 1975 through the early 1980's. We could specify most things on those bikes except for lugs, paint and decal style.

We sold mostly European bikes. The lower priced models were predominantly French bikes. Bertin was Shimano's French importer/distributor. The folks at Bertin couldn't understand why we ordered "all French" equipped bikes!

There was still some anti-Japanese sentiment in parts of the US as late as the early 1980's. Peugeot did quite well with "all French" bikes during that period.
