I used a back pack for about 14 years. I prefer my Carradice saddle bag that I've used for the last three years. No rack is nessessary. I can put my work clothes, lunch, tool/repair kit in my Barley model. Thinking about a little more space and getting a Long Flap Nelson.

Those look really nice. Don't suppose you have a pic of it on your bike? I'm having a hard time visualizing how big those dimensions really are.
That would really solve my issues...I want to put my bike on a bit of a diet...ditch the racks/panniers. I really only need enough space for a change of clothes, a sandwich, spare tube & a couple tools.
