I've had three sessions at Hellyer in the last 2 1/2 weeks. The caveat? My back is NOT healed, but it's 90% there.
I did a beginners session, an intermediate session (a juniors session, really), and an advanced session (today). I've been making adjustments to the bike all along the way, as well as getting the track etiquette down. The bike is approaching "training trim" now. I've got the Miche/Tufo wheels on it, 81 inch gearing, and a 120mm stem with my 35mm 3T Scatto pursuit bars (which I REALLY like). I rode well in all of the sessions except today. I'm carrying a fair amount of "life induced" fatigue, as well as the injury. I also had a hard session this past Saturday with all those juniors, whom I of course had to try to stay with in the sprints (and I did in a couple). That really upped the accumulated stress, and today I felt it.
It's November, right?
My point? I'm having a great time on that track!
