I like a bit more cable on mine. If the bends are too tight, the cables have too much friction. If the cables are too long, there's too much friction. You have to get it "juuuust right".
Yeah, I read about that. I dinked around with it earlier. And looking at the original housing, I think it didn't have enough. The housing was kinked above the ferrule. Guess I gotta measure a dozen times before I actually cut it, haha!
