Yeah. I'm a total hack with a cheap Radio Shack iron. Hell, I don't clean the thing properly and don't even know what kind of solder I use. I've rewired many guitars with it will great success. Soldering a connector to the end of a single wire is about as simple as it gets.
A baby could do it.
