My front wheel bearings still seem to be spinning fine, so it may just be the weight on the rear wheel that wore them out quicker. I had new ceramics put in the rear, but only because they were sold to me at cost, and because I may sell the wheelset, they'll match front and rear. Otherwise I'd go with standard bearings realizing there's simply no difference.

I will say, I never serviced the bearings at any point in those 9,500 miles...would simply cleaning them and out re-greasing help extend their useful life?
