If that's a Raleigh, it's of a frame type I've never seen from them before. The frame looks like a typical American "balloon tire" cruiser type common between the mid 1930's and the mid 1950's. Does the shifter say "Sturmey Archer"? If it does not, then it is NOT a Raleigh, no matter what the headbadge says. What do the cranks look like? If they are cottered 3-piece cranks, with a 26 tpi bottom bracket, it's probably a Raleigh. If it's a 1 piece Ashtabula crank, then it's American. We need a lot of close-up pics......
