I guess on a road bike, the movement would be minimal anyway. Seems like an odd way to achieve comfort when slightly wider tires might offer the same benefit.
Interesting but I'm not sold just yet.
There are superior alternatives, i.e. suspension forks. Fewer weight weenies on the mtb side allow for this possibility.

The stem has 1-2 cm of movement and likely bottoms out very stiffly with elastomers. There are 3 levels of stiffness? I'll have to check again.

No harm in waiting for a few reviews after they ship later in the month.
