Disturbing. I can think of no other scenarios where failure to predict the actions of others would be seen as reasonable to assign blame.

My fault I got shot walking down the street because I failed to anticipate a drive by.
My fault the dog bit me because I failed to anticipate that the owner would not use a leash.
My fault my head was crushed by a falling bucket because I didn't guess that the window washers on the 17th floor would not have their stuff secured.
My fault my car was totaled because I should have predicted a drunk would cross the center line.
