I'm "thinking" about having my mountain bike refitted with a different stem and handlebars to try and mimic the riding position of the Giant as close as possible and riding through winter too. When I had my knee fixed I asked the doctor if there is anything I should be doing while waiting for the day of the surgery. I thought he'd say ice, rest, etc. He said "since you filled in your pool" - being a smart ass - he asked "do you have a bike?" When I told him I did he said ride in a light gear sparingly until the day of the surgery. Couldn't believe it. I started riding my stationary recumbent in the basement a few weeks afterwards then I got back into road riding with the hybrid this summer. Best thing I've done in a long time! I used to bike a lot in my younger years but gave it up for other interests and then scooters but I'm really falling in love with biking again. This hybrid is the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Without it I would not have started riding again.
