Well I peeled the offending sticker off and inspected the other one too. The other one wasn't perfect so I pulled it as well. In doing so I noticed that these things really aren't meant to be on there long term...VERY low tack adhesive was used on these things...darn near like a static sticker.
I have resigned myself to go without...it still looks hot.
All of the other stickers are also now off the frame (yellow warning stickers, Made in Taiwan sticker and the size sticker). I can't wait until my Record RD gets here (come on Santa
) so I can build this baby up.
I picked up the same bike on Sunday, and the first thing I asked the tech to do during the fitting appointment was remove those stickers
As you have already surmised, they don't even have any adhesive - they just peel right off, like the clear plastic covers you get on anything with a plastic screen (PDA's, etc).
