I'm am sorry for your loss as well. My wife succumbed to cancer at 43 in 2002, so I share in your experience to some degree. I ride (on my BMW) to her gravesite almost yearly (Upstate NY from Florida).

I found out, I am a Solo touring cyclist. In preparation for my big trek I did an over night with a local cyclist. Which was really helpful. She shared a lot of very simple things that worked well on my 19 day journey.
Here is a photo of my Indie 4 that is complete and waiting 2,000km away. This coming summer should be from Edmonton Alberta - The Pacific.
