Old seat, New seat post

I got ahold of an old fashioned Brooks B72 to put on my Trek 820. The saddle is the kind with the two thin rails that are also the springs. I attached it calming the micro-adjust clamp over the bottom set of rails but the rails are too thin for the clamp. Any suggestions on how I get this Old Fashioned seat to stay on my new-fangled bike?
