Dealers ordered P-mounts individually in the Boom Era of the '70's.
Every one that we sold was spec'd by the customer who chose P-10/13/14/15 models and fitted them out from the build list and color choices including full Chrome.

Although we were a an old line high volume dealership with considerable clout waiting lists for pre-sold P-mounts was the reality, and well worth the wait.
There was no "rack" of un-sold P-mounts in our shop.

Well I know I remember price tags on these for sale so maybe they were orders that were backed out of, but with more than one or two it seems like they were stock units of some sort. Anyway I know they were out of my realm and would have had to been fire sale priced for me to get one which of course they were not. Seems like $495 or $695 was the price but who knows at this point.
