Source for 1" threaded canti forks?

Hi folks, and thanks for keeping it classy around here. I'm a long-time lurker, working on building up a 1983/4 Centurion Elite GT that I got sans forks. It's an old touring frame, but reasonably lightweight and packing all the braze-ons I've been looking for in an all-day, commuterish bike.

It's got just under 6" of headtube, and I'm having a hell of a time sourcing a threaded replacement fork with cantilevers and, ideally, mid-fork bosses. There are a couple on the auction site, but they've got really short steerers. Looking for chrome, ideally, so as not to clash with the champagne Keith Anderson paint job. Anyone hear tell of one of these, or have one sitting in your parts bin?

The other routes are:
1) Running a mullet setup with a centerpull up front. Anyone tried this?
2) Buying a relatively ugly unicrown fork from the local co-op or online
3) Going threadless, necessitating new headset, stem, shim, etc.

I'd welcome any leads, or info on other folks' workarounds for this particular issue.
