Those bikes are absolutely beautifull, the more I look at them the more I like them.

Except for the rims (and their rarity, ofcourse) I see no reason why you couldn't commute on them, they look very practical.

I notice that the stem is reversed on the second one, I wander if that is supposed to be like that.
