the safety standards for roads have made it far too easy to drive without paying attention. I propose that there be a maximum straightaway length, and if a road exceeds that, they put in a chicane. There is a downhill sweeping curve near here that features a lot of truck accidents for no other reason than they are speeding. People keep saying they should straighten the curve, but if they put a chicane in front of it truckers would have to slow down.
