Why would you buy road-specific wheels with the intent of converting them to SS, when you can buy/build really nice SS wheels and not have to kludge them? Wouldn't be hard to reach $150-250+ if that's your goal.
They are lighter, cheaper and have quick release. I intend to use them like a single speed road bike not fixed gear.
