actually, mine went out in the post.
I like Berthoud decaleur - it works, and it's the least obtrusive design by far without a front bag mounted.
But the stupid thing comes with a limp safety pin to pin the clevis rod at the end of the decaleur tubes.
I had a piece of .055 Hasteloy wire and made myself a hairpin cotter pin.


When I wrecked last month and by buddy was kindly policing my bike as I rode off on the backboard, my nickel-based superalloy hairpin disappeared.

No more wire, so purchased the correct 316 stainless hairpin cotter pin from McMaster - 25 of them.


With shipping they cost me $0.62 each, and I don't need 25 of them. So on google groups in just a few hours I sold what I didn't want in packages, bought postage through paypal, recouped most of my money, and kept only the spares I wanted. And provided a valuable service.
