I had a Double Cross Disc and, like a lot of bikes in that genre, it had a short head tube. the Wolverine is not a lot longer. with either bike, you will probably need a lot of spacers or a tall, upright stem to get the bars even with your saddle.
Soma is erring on the side of aesthetics with their frame designs, limiting themselves to a level, horizontal top tube. if they would allow a little upward slope in the top tube, they would have more room for a longer head tube and not need the excessive spacer stack on most builds. you can put a long head tube on any frame, but that also looks heinous (see Pake C'Mute). I doubt many people are going to build a Wolverine and "slam the stem." it's just not that kind of bike.
