Yes... But There Is More.
There is one type of old cranksets that use cotters, a kind of wedge to lock the crank arms to the bottom bracket axle.
ANY type of crankset - and there are several - that doesn't use cotters to hold the crank arms to the BB axle can be called a cotterless crank.
Thing is, the crankset HAS to be matched to your type (and size) of bottom bracket.
Merely going shopping for a "cotterless crank" is unlikely to end up well.
