It affects the lives of the bike washers 'n driers not one whit when the rest of you heathen just put your muck-encrusted bikes in the hall closet. I personally think no more or less of any of you for it-- if one or any suddenly converted to the Dry SideŽ my opinions would not change. But what strikes is the common theme running through this thread, in which the "non-driers" look down their noses at those who actually seem to care about the condition of their possessions. I wash and dry my bike because I view it as part of the routine maintenance of the bike. Whether or not it actually contributes to the longevity of the bike is inconsequential. I don't like putting the bike away wet. It's that simple. For me, compressed air dries it faster than other methods.
