I'm trying to avoid social events, avoid junk food, and avoid the thought process of "well, it's special because it's only this time of year."
So far, so good - my goal was to be down at least 2-3 pounds from December 1 to Jan 1st, and I'm actually down about 3 now, as of last Friday's weekly weigh-in. Just have to get through the next week and a half.
However, truth in advertising -- I came down with a horrible virus last weekend, possibly influenza, so I've barely eaten all week. NOT the best way to diet, but an effective way. I bet I am down another pound or 2 when I weigh myself tomorrow.
