You guys are amatuers. Heck, I bout 3 bikes
last weekend. I've got 10 bikes in the rotation right now, with at least 6 more that I couldn't resist because they were clean and cheap. Not to mention the 2 or 3 rolling framesets in the shed.....
Mostly I pick up used bikes that need fixing - it's cheaper than therapy and I learn something in the bargain. Once they're restored, I ride them for a little bit (if they fit) and then lose interest and move them along when I find another cripple to bring back to life.
The 10 "keepers" consist of 5 road bikes, 3 mtb's, 1 commuter, and 1 tandem. Everything else is transient.
