Thursday / Friday might not be the best days to ride:

The Toronto area is expected to receive 15 to 20 centimetres. The storm is expected to hang around until Friday night.

This storm is unusual . . . because storms often "hit and run," but "this storm is slow moving," said David Phillips, senior climatologist with Environment Canada.

Making conditions worse, winds gusting up to 60 km/h will produce hazardous driving conditions tomorrow evening.

The blowing snow will make visibility almost nil.

The cold won’t let up either.

The long-range forecast is for frigid temperatures right through Christmas, with temperatures dropping to near —13C on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
