I do remember I was told to raise the seat about 3mm when switching over.

He put the wedge under the cleat and not under the insole of the shoe? That's odd. Mine put it under the insole.

As always, ask your fitter. He's not going to charge you for the information. What you need to know is the wedge angle, and direction (pronate, etc).
