I've got a red colored wedge under my right cleat, spd mountain bike style. Switching to a road shoe and SPD-SL cleat and trying to mimic the same fit as the mountain bike shoes...
Are there specific brands and or colors that indicate the width of the wedge? I have a feeling that home-brewing over to the road cleat might be a tad more involved than just look, adjust, and go.
I'll have to get a picture up here of the mtn bike cleats & wedge if that makes any difference.
I do remember I was told to raise the seat about 3mm when switching over.

He put the wedge under the cleat and not under the insole of the shoe? That's odd. Mine put it under the insole.
As always, ask your fitter. He's not going to charge you for the information. What you need to know is the wedge angle, and direction (pronate, etc).
