My girlfriend has a Polar H7 strap. Says it's really comfortable. It's Bluetooth, so she pairs it to her phone. The Fenix 5 is going to be the first Garmin to use Bluetooth sensors. If you still have your old chest strap, it'll work. That's not at all relevant to me, but a lot of people have been wanting it forever, and it's interesting they've finally made it reality.
Agree about the price, I would love if it were a lot less. I'm going to sell my Fenix 3 HR to help pay for it, but, of course, not until I have it in my hands.
I've Wahoo bluetooth sensors and Polar strap and so the Fenix is looking better.
And I run but have not with an HRM for quite a while.
