And... it's not even 3 pm and the DFW area is under major gridlock due to a light dusting. Combination of people trying to use the weather as an excuse to check out early and those same people not knowing how to drive in the dry and assuming anything that looks wet is actually ice.
Well, I bailed at 2pm. Up here in south Denton county there was nothing, but by my work there was actual snow accumulation on the roads, and ice on the bridges. On one stretch of beltline (just east of DFW airport) there were 10 wrecks from idiots.
I mean, it was all self inflicted stupidity any non dumbass would have no issues with, but still. It sure is a lot easier driving a forester in this crap than a 911 with no driving aids and a race suspension on freaking ice (and I still managed to not crash it ever in 10 years of dallas iced roads). But if you're driving any car sold in the last 10 years and can't handle what was on the roads today... here's your sign.
