I have one & had many of the problems mentioned. I think about the only one I didn't have was the post stayed in place in the seat tube. I had difficultly with getting the proper adjust as described by others. I about wore the heads out on the socket head bolts. Use as helpfull when contact. I did upgrade the older 2 bolt clamp system to the newer single bolt clamp system. This system works much better & I have not had a singl problem since. Bob
