I'm happy with the Sugino Messenger cranks I got earlier this year. I run those with a Shimano UN-54 BB and I have about 1200 miles on that setup on a 1x9 gravel bike build(narrow chainring). Wouldn't mind getting one of the alloy cups for the Shimano BB as I have cracked the plastic one before. I wouldn't cheap out too much on the cranks.
