For what it's worth, I recently put a brand new maroon(!) Team Pro on the red / maroon Capo, with enthusiastic thumbs-approval from my artist wife.
The last time I broke in a brand-new Brooks Pro was 43 years ago, and the break-in process has admittedly been harder on me this time around, but we are rapidly converging on comfort.
