In the front, mounted on the handlebars, I'd recommend an Ortlieb Ultimate bag... and it turns into a neat shoulder bag for when you are walking around town and need to carry some bits. Particularly good as a walk-around bag with a small camera inside.
This, I think, is what I'll do. Panniers just don't do it for me, not sure why. I don't know if I have time to get all specific brands you mentioned, but handlebar bag on the front for electronics, everything else in the rear is the way to go for me.
