My 1970's era Mickey Mouse bell is mounted on the left side aero bar. I use it constantly to warn riders, pedestrians, people walking dogs, riders on horses. The sound typically brings a wave and smile for whom the bell rings. Yesterday while on the morning club ride our pace line approached a group of 12 riders proceeding at a much slower speed. Well before reaching the group I began ringing the bell and as I approached I could hear a rider at the rear warning others of overtaking bikers. I have found that using the bell to be extremely effective and will continue to do so.
