Correct. The cable pull ratio is slightly different. What I don't know (haven't done that homework yet) is if Shiftmates are available in a version that translates between the two Campy pull ratios. Another method to use your old levers and the new ders is to swap out the index gear in the lever. Good luck finding the correct one, hens teeth.
