I had a nasty cold in about that same time frame. The odd thing about that cold is that I had levels of chest congestion I've never had before. It wasn't so much wheezing as it felt as if my airway was constricted.

I had severe asthma as a child, and had viral pneumonia when I was only 17. Concerned about pneumonia, I planned to visit Urgent Care Monday if I didn't improve.

Astoundingly, I woke up Monday feeling almost completely cured.

Anyway ... I guess the point of my post is that I think I might have had the same thing. That was a NASTY cold ... if in fact, it was only a cold.
