I'd still recommend booking a spot for the bike through the service desk immediately. Gives you far more ammo if you have a confirmed spot when you arrive, if they wish to tell you no. May also give you the ability to cancel your ticket within the 24 hour window if they tell you no right off the bat, depending on how/when you bought the ticket.
