I can't say that I miss the Bell Biker though. You certainly couldn't forget you had it on, unlike modern ones.
Same here. my girlfriend and I had Bell Bikers and we rode all Campy road bikes (a Raleigh International and an Atala) from London, down through France to and through Switzerland, back and then all over England. Kids would tease us all the time about the helmets. We also had horrendously high gearing for the alps and foolishly rode with sewups (fully loaded with full panniers and camping gear). It was the trip of a lifetime though.
