I despise driving, so pedaling is just more pleasant. While I don't have the passion for it I once had, it's still fun, and a tiny bit adventurous, because I like to make the routes creative...And the bike can take it, even under my #250+!
Downsides are heavy snow and ice, distance limits during some times of year, and the fact that Father Time is a relentless SOB.
