I have one of these mirrors, broken, and very much stuck in the handlebar of my Giant touring bike. Next attempt at getting that sucker out will be penetrent... and if that doesn't work, a drill. Certainly can appreciate how well they attach, and subsequently rust in place. Unfortunately like any mirror, it is useless when shattered, and I believe that is the one failing of the design, should the bike fall over on the side with the mirror on it then the mirror is at risk of getting broken.
