It's the new Easton EC90 aero rim. I had been thinking about getting the tubeless version which has a sealed rim bed, then saw a good deal on the tubular. I already extra tubular tires so jumped on it.
Based on what I have read, wider rims are more helpful for clinchers, but I imagine there is still a benefit to wide rims for tubulars as well. Easton did wind tunnel testing and found the wider shapes perform better at more yaw angles (a very narrow rim would be great at 0 degrees yaw but worse off axis). It can't hurt, and the wheels seem plenty fast, at least as fast as my zipp 303 tubulars without much more weight, and still lighter than 404s
