I agree - to a point. Schraner is definitely more down to earth and shows some humility. I have to say that Brandt has made a significant contribution to the process of building bicycle wheels. The problem I have with JB is that he makes like everything he states is science and there are many cases where he is not being straitforward about what actually IS science and what is just his opinion. That's a bit disingenuous in my opinion. There are plenty of folks on r.b.t. that take issue with his opinions, so my assessment is not singular. I give him credit for being active in the continuing discourse of all_things_bicycles. As with everything you read on these forums, you need to make your own decisions of what is b/s and what is not.
