that bike is calling out for a different saddle- something a little more old school and plush if you can find one (id go with brown, olive or black.) then you could swap the tape to something to match and not have to find the lime green which does not go with the vintage cool of the rest of the bike. Olive green yes, but not lime. that saddle looks painful to me and once its gone i see good things for this bike.

White bar tape is not a faux pas, but it does get dirty fast if you don't wear gloves.

aero levers are good and easy enough to find, but there are also non-aero that look and work great and might match the bike better - with hoods and no turkey levers. either way would be fine.

other than that I think everyone has already pointed the way.

one thing you might want to do is post a few pictures of bikes that have the look you like, and we could help guide the way to that look.

edit: while I was posting Primo posted his. very nice. there is a maruishi MTB on the local CL I want - but at $340 i have not yet pulled the trigger. but its hard to resist.
