I've had pretty good luck with a Dog Dazer that I bought from a outdoors catalog. It doesn't work with all dogs,but most. This model with a 9 volt has a pretty good range too. I use to have a job where I had to go to peoples houses and many had loose mean dogs. After a few trips with the Dazer,they headed for their dog houses as soon as I pulled up in the truck. I didn't even have to use the Dazer anymore
