It could have a linearity issue??

EDIT: I just weighted a piece of electronics equipment that the service manual indicated weighted 26.4lbs. My digital scale read 26.72. So yes a little bit higher, but not that far off. I weighted the BS500 again and indicated 26.1 this time, maybe I had the water bottle on it last time. So if I subtract the potential .3 lbs of scale error based on my earlier equipment measurement it still places my bike at around 25.8lbs, a little over 3 lbs heavier than yours KB.

EDIT 2: I notice the BS ad above indicated the 23" bike was 25lbs. If I subtract the weight of little accessories I might actually be really close to that 25lb mark. I'm not sure how much additional weight is subtracted going from a 23" to 21" frame though.

EDIT 3: Just for comparison sake KB. My front wheel weights 3.58lbs w/skewer. Comparing that to yours will tell me how much heavier my rims and hubs may be.
My wheel weights 3.5 lbs, my hanging scale only measures in 0.5 lb increments. So, we're close. KB

EDIT: OK, official weight is 25.0 (no water cages). That freewheel sure is heavy. KB
