i became vegan about 9 years ago, when i was 18. i was pretty militant at the time, and so, yes, i gave away my leather shoes and belts. not much else that i owned wasn't vegan. however, i've learned and changed a lot since '97 and disagree with much of what i said and did then. hey, live and learn.
i can definitely recommend some cookbooks!
